From 1999-2003, Rev. Barksdale served as Pastor of God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. He also served at Carver Bible College Atlanta, Georgia from 1998-2008 in various capacities as teacher, administrator and adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies and was awarded Professor of the year in 2000 and adjunct professor of the year in 2007. In addition, Rev. Barksdale has served as adjunct professor at Southwest Bible Institute in Atlanta, Georgia and MWE School of Ministry in
Snellville, Georgia. He also served as academic consultant to Bryant Theological Seminary in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He believes that the goal of the church is to make disciples who love, serve and exhibits the character of Jesus Christ. Rev. Barksdale has taught Evangelism, Biblical Leadership, Outreach Ministry and Old/New Testament Studies at church conferences throughout the U.S. and abroad. Preaching and Teaching God’s Word is his passion. Keith Barksdale has a world-wide ministry, he has taken the Word of God around the world via Missions trips to Sri Lanka, Germany, Kenya, Jamaica and Haiti. He pastured God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA from 1999 – 2003, and New Pathway Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia from 2009-2013. From 2001-2011 Keith Barksdale served as Resident Services Coordinator for Lane Management Co., and Mercy Housing Inc., in the Villages of East Lake Atlanta, Ga., engaging a mixed income community with health and wellness, housing/financial stability, civic and community involvement. Currently, Keith Barksdale is the Pastor of Valley Hill Baptist Church in Riverdale, Ga., and employed with Clayton County Head Start as Family and Community Partnership Coordinator. In addition, he served as President of the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County 2020-21. He is the CEO of Burning Hearts Community Outreach LLC. and organizer and facilitator of Clayton Community Resource Network.
